0.90ct Diamond vs. 1.0 Carat Diamond
Visually, there are no significant differences between a 0.90ct diamond and a 1 carat diamond. They differ by very few millimeters which are very hard to notice with the naked eye. This means that you could spot a 0.90 carat diamond, and not be able to differentiate it from a 1.0 carat diamond. If you want to pay less and get more value, it’s best to go for a 0.90 carat diamond. However, keep the stone’s quality and cut.
There’s a 10% volume difference between a 0.90 carat diamond and a 1 carat diamond. Hence you’re likely to expect a noticeable price difference. Generally, if you opt for a 0.90 carat diamond you’re likely to pay 10-15% less than if you opt for a 1.0 carat diamond with similar quality specifications, i.e., cut, color, and clarity.
The disadvantage of a 1.0 carat to a 0.9 carat diamond is that you’ll paying more for it. Yet, technically, you’re getting the same value as someone else buying the latter.
