Founded in 1980 by Michael Khordipour, Estate Diamond Jewelry started as a one-man operation. In the decades since, Estate Diamond Jewelry has grown to become one of the most trusted names in the vintage jewelry space.
From its humble roots, the business expanded to occupy its present-day showroom on NYC’s iconic 5th Ave. And with the onset of the digital age, came the opportunity to offer customers worldwide the Estate Diamond Jewelry experience at the click of a button. Estate Diamond Jewelry (also known as EDJ) has earned a reputation for offering only the highest quality in both our selection of jewelry and our customer service department. We proudly hold an accredited A+ rating by the BBB.
Our Showroom Location
The Estate Diamond Jewelry showroom is located on 5th Ave in the heart of New York City’s midtown district.
The EDJ suite overlooks both the Saks Fifth Avenue Flagship Store as well as the Rockefeller Center Rink to the north. The windows that run East to West face towards the Rockefeller Gardens Rooftops, where a famous scene from the Spider-Man Film was shot.
Our showroom is located within the Swiss Building and was built during the Art Deco Era (circa 1931). The building’s original architecture and the lobby’s inner facade have all been meticulously preserved, as is evident in the extraordinary marble paneling. Even the intricate details inside of the elevators are part of the original 1930s design.
The New York Times called the building “An extravaganza in marble modernism.”

The Estate Diamond Jewelry Team
Estate Diamond Jewelry has been operating in New York since 1980. Founded by Michael and Afshin in NYC, it has since flourished into a 5th Avenue showroom together with a thriving online presence.
Michael Khordipour
The co-founder of Estate Diamond Jewelry and the owner of M. Khordipour Inc., Michael founded Estate Diamond Jewelry in 1980. Michael started out traveling in his car from customer to customer and slowly grew his dream into the flourishing business that it is today. Known for his keen eye and his superior taste in fine jewelry, Michael has made it his focus to curate one of the top collections of vintage jewelry in the world.
Known for his positive attitude and compelling warmth, Michael is always on the laborious hunt for “the perfect ring.” He is extremely particular and carefully selects each ring that joins the collection. His pride in the trajectory of Estate Diamond Jewelry is one of his most talked-about conversations.
Afshin Shaddaie
Afshin moved to New York City in his late teens and began his career in the jewelry industry a few years later. He teamed up with Michael Khordipour in the 1980s, and they’ve been working together ever since.
From the very start of his career, Afshin has been passionate about rare antique jewelry. He enjoys close friendships with some of the greatest antique collectors in the world, who frequently turn to him when with their most difficult questions. He has since become one of the foremost antique jewelry experts in the world.
Each month, Afshin and Michael peruse through hundreds of vintage rings. Each item is intensely studied and analyzed as Afshin passionately works to ensure that only the finest pieces make their way into the Estate Diamond Jewelry Collection.
Afshin is constantly traveling to international shows, and private viewing events in the hope of finding new rare vintage rings to offer our customers. When he’s not traveling, he is available for appointments at our New York showroom.
Afshin believes that since the rings in our collection are the best ambassadors of their own worth, there’s never any need to pressure a customer into making a purchase. Client’s who are fortunate to experience Afshin’s customer service note not only his vast expertise but also his remarkable patience and dedication to ensuring his customer’s satisfaction.
Benjamin Khordipour
Benjamin joined Estate Diamond Jewelry in 2014 with an advanced Gemological degree from the GIA of New York and an advanced degree from Gübelin of Switzerland. He uses his knowledge of diamonds and colored stones and applies it to his passion for vintage and antique jewelry. The balance between the old and the new is something that fascinates him, and he utilizes his skill to design fresh and exciting opportunities for the company.
Like his father, Michael Khordipour, Benjamin is a pleasure to work with and is always ready with a smile. He believes that every customer deserves to make an informed and educated decision when it comes to jewelry. He’ll invest as much time and energy as it takes to ensure his customers are making informed and educated decisions.
As a passionate UMass alumnus, Benjamin usually can’t resist an opportunity to mention his alma mater.
Extremely knowledgeable in technology and social media, Benjamin lends his expertise to help propel Estate Diamond Jewelry into the future.
Shmuel Aber
Shmuel is the CMO at Estate Diamond Jewelry.
Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Shmuel mastered coding and programming at a young age and began exploring art and photoshop. After moving to the United States and he completed advanced courses in Computer Sciences and Digital Marketing in New York. In 2013 Shmuel joined Estate Diamond Jewelry as the Chief Marketing Officer, and he has been busy ever since.
Shmuel created and now manages the Estate Diamond Jewelry website. With a sharp eye on the ever-evolving social trends, Shmuel is focused on directing the social media channels, google optimization, and organizing the marketing operations. When he has a spare moment, you’ll also find him coordinating product photography and artistic photoshoots.
Ratana Bifulco
As office manager, Ratana Bifulco keeps the office running smoothly and ensures everyone has what they need. Never one to resist a smile, Ratana guarantees that all the customers are happy with their purchases and sufficiently “cared-for.”
Known for her organizational skills, Ratana ensures that the showroom is in order and that all appointments run on schedule.
Passionate about jewelry, Ratana never tires of carefully exploring each beautiful ring that joins the collection.
Adira Weisel
Adira is the Social Media Manager of the EDJ team. Originally from Saint Louis, Missouri, Adira moved to NYC for college in 2018 and fell in love with the city. A recent college graduate with a degree in Marketing/Management, she has a passion for all things creative, with an emphasis on social media marketing and photography. She also has a keen interest in the fashion industry, which makes her enthusiastic about her work and the company.
Understanding the importance of sales and customer service, Adira enjoys working with our customers through social media and in-person appointments to help them find their perfect ring. Her positive demeanor and friendly personality help create an upbeat atmosphere in the office.
Gabrielle Iskhakova
Gabrielle Iskhakova is the newest member of the EDJ team. She manages Data Entry and Photography for the Estate Diamond Jewelry website.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she appreciates the opportunity to channel her passion for jewelry in the big city. She uses her Industrial Psychology Education towards the success of her marketing and website work.
In her spare time, Gabrielle loves to travel, study the history of jewelry, and spend time with her family.
Mushkie Chernick
Mushkie is our Data Entry Director. She was born in Sydney, Australia, and moved to New York in 2018.
Her passion for art and photography is infused into every post that she delivers. She loves vintage jewelry, and like the rest of the Estate Diamond Jewelry Team, she’s a big believer in spreading jewelry education.
